I know, I know. I haven't updated in months and months.
But anyway.....here is a video I took yesterday.

Lets see if I can figure out how to embed this thing.
Only about the first half is interesting, but I couldn't work out how to edit the video. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well, to recap the last six months....Tony and I are doing fine, we just got back from five weeks in Italy, Greece and Cyprus with his parents, and I'm 17 weeks pregnant. Yay!

So.....
I'm totally married. The wedding is over, the honeymoon is over. Whew.
The photos look AWESOME though!
What a fantastic job my mum did on the wedding. Anyone who was there will know exactly what I mean.

I could survive for 1 minute, 19 seconds chained to a bunk bed with a velociraptor

It only needs hemming and to be taken in very slightly around the top

Trying to think up things to fill a wedding registry is hard :(

I have to start updating more often. I do -mean- to, but....we all know where good intentions get me.

So......my wedding dress has been made. I am going tomorrow to have a fitting. I am very excited.
Less than three months to go now!

I got my implant taken out on Monday night. It was okay. Hurt a bit the next day, and I am going to have a little scar, but I managed to get by without needing any stitches. Yay!
Tony came along for moral support and managed to keep a smile on his face this time, rather than the shocked look of horror he had when he watched them put the thing in in the first place.

What else......
Engagement party is this Saturday evening. I have my work retreat all day Saturday, so I am going to be one tired girl by the end of it all. I am toying with the idea of having a Birthday party, but the idea of having another party next weekend is just a little too much to comprehend at this point. I may just have a cake at the normal Saturday Movie Night.

Catherine and Co. found a rabbit at Uni on Monday. It hopped up to them and let them pick it up, so they brought it to me and Tony to care for until we see if it has run away from a loving home that wants it back. I personally think it was probably abandoned on the grounds by someone who didn't want a pet anymore (sad)
He (she?) is a beautiful little bunny though. So friendly and tame and well trained as well. I just put the litter down and it mostly goes to the toilet in there.
You can see a picture of him here
http://www.flickr.com/photos/sailor_coruscant/2290370967/
So far he is hopping happily round our house when we are around, and staying locked in the giant bathroom when we are not (and at night).
We'll see how it goes.

I ordered my wedding dress yesterday. I love it so much.
No pics of it yet, but here is a link to the runner up dress that I also loved, but not quite as much. http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?pageSize=8&page=25&style=A3010

I was coming down with some illness yesterday. Every time they laced me into a dress I felt slightly nausious, and now today I was too sick to go to work. I slept all day instead and I'm about to go back to bed :(

Aside from that, wedding plans are going well. *nods* I'm very lucky my mum is willing to do so much of the planning and work.

So...my cat died today. He was getting sick, just lying around and drinking heaps of water, so my parents took him down to the vet.
Turns out he had some very complex diabetes, and his kidneys were failing. His quality of life wasn't going to be improving in any way in the future, and he was just going to get rapidly worse, and be in pain as well, which he thankfully wasn't in yet.
My dad buried him at the bottom of their garden, at the edge of the reserve.

Tony's mum is in hospital with a pinched nerve in her back. They're still waiting to see if she'll need an operation. She's doing a lot better today though. The pain is bareable.

My uncle who is also in hospital is also doing a lot better, which is good news.

Work is going well, but I look forward to all the permenant staff being back. Casuals are......casual

So, my computer randomly decided to start deleting files when I booted it up.
It managed to get through all of my msn chat logs, and all of the files anyone has ever sent me over msn before I could stop it.
I am quite sad. I had quite a lot of pictures and songs and things that people had sent me that I am more than a little upset about losing, as well as all the logs. :(
Fortunately most of my photographs were untouched.
*sighs*
I am very tired. I should put in a larger update than this, but I just can't keep my eyes open. Perhaps tomorrow.

We had out work open day last weekend. It was very tiring getting ready for it. I was there till 11:15 at night on the Friday night, and back at 7:30 the next morning.
It's only open to other professionals in the Early Childhood field and even at $75 per person it's always booked out.
It all went quite well. Very few rude people poking through the cupboards in our bathroom and under the sink. And all the feedback forms were very polite, although we looked rather hard to find ones that said we were rude, conceited or arrogant.
One of my co-workers (a very respectable 50 something year old) told us with great delight that she had said 'Motherf***er' in her talk.
I believe it was a story something along these lines:

Two young boys are fighting, and one is hitting the other. So their carer calmly tells the boy who is hitting 'Peter, use your words". So the boy turns to the other boy and yells "Motherf***er!' at him.

Nice story, and perfectly illustrating the problem with being unspecific in what we expect from children, since Peter did exactly what he was told to do.

Meanwhile, I'm sick with the flu AGAIN! Second time in a month. And whereas the last flu was all achey and tired and sleeping all day, this one is feverish and achey and such a sore throat that it hurts like eating broken glass to swallow, eating food is a nightmare, and this morning it was actually constricting my breathing somewhat. The doctor told me to stay away from work till Wednesday, so I lay and napped and watched tv all day until somehow tony and I managed to drop a huge chunk of chocolate onto the white couch, where it lay unnoticed until I had sat on it and melted it with my feverish body for half an hour. Yay.

So, today my mother came over to visit and she tells me that she brought me my 'Yota poster, and the cardboard cutout of that old guy with the beard'.
She was, in fact, referring to Yoda, and Gandalf.

Finally!
It took long enough. Way longer than planned, what with the phone company screwing us over and all....
Anyway, we're in the new house, mostly unpacked and sorted. Everything is lovely.

So...yeah. If you missed the comment on my last post, Tony changed his appointment, so we will be sleeping the wednesday night in our new house. Probably on the floor in sleeping bags! Exciting.

Tony called up the phone company and a very friendly girl helped him to choose a number that he will find easy to remember, so that's good news. Means he has no excuse not to call home anymore :P

So, moving house is getting really close. Settlement is the 30th (which is a wednesday) and we'll move that weekend.
Pretty exciting. Luckily most of our stuff is still packed from when we moved at christmas, but there is still some stuff to repack, like all our clothes and dvds and things, computers, some books, stuff like that. I can't seem to really get motivated to pack it up yet. Not to mention the three HUGE baskets of clean washing that I need to fold and put away that I can't seem to be bothered to do. Maybe tomorrow night.

We were going to go to the house Wednesday night and have some sort of takeaway dinner there and maybe sleep on the floor in sleeping bags, but Tony went to a sleep doctor today and he needs to go for an overnight sleep study, which was booked for that night, so I guess we won't be. Kinda disappointing, but what can you do?

As far as Tony's sleeping goes, I think he's going to switch back to regular sleeping. The polyphasic sleeping is kind of working for him, but when he gets sick (and he is rather sickly, as a rule) it just knocks him out completely and he needs to just sleep a full day to get over it. This is not so good for his work, so back to regular sleep for him. In some ways this is good, because the naps really were annoying at times, and he would get really sleepy if he just sat down without anything to do, but I think he was also less tired generally and found getting up to not be as painful as usual.

So, yeah.....excited about the house, and moving and getting everything finally sorted out. We're probably going to be looking to get 2 housemates to help cover some costs and pay off the hideous mortgage faster, but we'll see on that. Until then, I plan on having a spare room and having visiting people stay in my new house!!!! Hooray!

So, Tony overslept on his 7pm nap tonight. He went to bed at 7:15 and at 8pm I went in to wake him up.

Me: (Soft and Loving tone)Sweetheart, it's time for you to wake up
No answer from Tony
Me: Tony? Sweety? Time to wake up. You've slept a little late.
Tony: *Grunts barely*
Me: Tony? It's 8 o'clock. You've had 45 minutes. Time to get up.
Tony: (Pitifully) How?
Me: How what?
Tony: (Still pitifully) How?
Me: How what? How is it 8?
Tony: (Getting grumpy now) How?
Me: Um.....well, you went to sleep at 7:15, and now it's 8, so you've had 45 minutes and you have to get up.
Tony : (Grumpily) No!
Me: Yes. You get crabby if you sleep too much and I'm not letting you make this decisision when you're half asleep.
Tony: (Very calm tone) You're very much annoying me.

Well....that's some gratitude, isn't it? :P

This morning we went to the auction for the house we would have wanted to try to buy if we hadn't got the one we wanted more earlier in the week. Mainly we just wanted to see what the auction was like, how many people bid, and of course, what price it sold for.
The bidding opened way lower than the house was worth, but really went up quickly.
As it passed the price we paid for our house, Tony and I had a quiet and relieved giggle to ourselves.
After about 10 minutes of bids and the auctioneers spiel, the house ended up getting sold for 60k more than we paid for our house.
I'm so very happy.
After all, not only is our house better for us and was cheaper, if we hadn't got it, then we would have been bidding at this auction, lost it, and have missed out on both the houses that we wanted. As I was already fed up with looking at houses, I think this would have made me rather badly depressed.

Tony is back on his polyphasic sleep cycle as of last night.
I think the fact that going back to regular sleeping was not only making him more tired, but was also making him crave fast food, made him really eager to get back to it.
He still can't always remember dreaming during his naps, but he sometimes does, and he says he is definately getting rest from them.

And last night he snuck into our bedroom at 4am and patted my head. I was asleep at the time, but woke up just enough to be awake of what he was doing. Still not -quite- sure if it's sweet or creepy, but I'm going with sweet for now :P
